Graphic series ‘words’ were made by Lyazzat Khanim during quarantine in 2020. One word was created every day for 77 days of lockdown.
Each image/word has its own special meaning and message that everyone can resonate with. The "words" touch upon various topics and problems of our time, such as identity, gender, health, and ecology.
Form and text. Personal and public. Black and white. Feminine and masculine. Living and inanimate. ‘Words’ depict a strong connection between seemingly opposite things/concepts and thus unite them.
‘words’ is a limited edition of printed artworks with 77 copies of each. All of the artworks are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Khanim and a lot number.
